Yeah, so in the wake of yet another painful political loss I'm seriously considering formally endorsing Grumpy McSame for President of the United States. Not that he'd care one bit about my endorsing him of course; and not that I'd ever donate a cent to him; or that I'd ever campaign one minute for him. But still...
See, here's the deal: I'm like the best Democrat ever to pick losers and, as you might be aware, in our party that's no small feat.
Give me an intelligent, thoughtful, well connected politician who has seemingly everything going for her or him, let me throw in my support, and BOOOM! Humiliating disaster will strike with near 100 % certainty.
A message today for all of Hillary's many supporters from Bill Clinton:
The CEO of a company whose employee is accused of improperly looking at the passport files of presidential candidates is a consultant to the Barack Obama campaign, a source said Saturday. Analysis Corp. President John Brennan [...] advises Barack Obama, a source tells CNN. John O. Brennan, president and CEO of the Analysis Corp., advises the Illinois Democrat on foreign policy and intelligence issues, the source said. Brennan briefed the media on behalf of the campaign this month. The executive is a former senior CIA official and former interim director of the National Counterterrorism Center. He contributed $2,300 to the Obama campaign in January.
I can see it now.
I was blind but now I see.
We must come nearer Obama, nearer to thee.
He is the Perfect Candidate. He has no ties that bind, no strings attached. He is only in it for himself.
It is his ego. And what a great ego it is. A wounded ego; an ego with something to prove. Wounded by Grandma and wounded by the absent Papa and wounded by every Typical White Person who did not instantly recognize Greatness when they laid eyes upon Barack. What better way to prove them wrong than rise to the top for everyone to see, first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen.
This month marks the five year anniversary of the war in Iraq. The anniversary is "celebrated" by several reports and testimonies on the conditions for civilian Iraqis in their daily life.
Five years after George W Bush decided to invade Iraq, the country is in disarray. Despite the heavy presence of US troops as well as Iraqi security forces, Iraq is one of the most dangerous countries in the world, with hundreds of Iraqi civilians killed every month. The human rights situation is disastrous, a climate of impunity has prevailed, the economy is on the verge of collapsing completely and the refugee crisis continues to escalate.
